Record incoming tourism

以色列旅游人数创新高

The number of tourists coming to Israel reached an all-time record of 350,000 in April,up 40% from April last year. In the first 4 months of the year, over 1.09 million tourists earned the Israeli economy an estimated NIS 6 billion so far in 2017.

四月份来到以色列的游客人数达到35万人次，比去年同期增长了40％。到2017年4月止，以色列第一季度有超过109万游客，旅游业收入约为60亿谢克尔。

Caesarea ancient harbor upgraded

Rothschild Foundation invests $ 35 million to enable archeologists renovate the ancient harbor at Caesarea and continue excavating the Caesarea National Park. This renewal project will upgrade and enhance the glorious past and future of Caesarea.

Huge Eilat expansion plan approved埃拉特扩建项目通过
The plan for Eilat, Israel's Red Sea resort, includes construction of 14,300 homes, 5,400 hotel rooms. And 340 000 sq/mtrs in the center for commerce. Eilat now has 60,000 residents, which the plan is designed to increase to 100,000.  An important part of the plan is strengthening tourism and preserving the unique landscape, including the hills, beach and open spaces. This includes the international bird sanctuary, the Eilat forest (Holland Park), the Coral Beach, and the surrounding nature preserve.

President Trump announces his first state visit of Israel

President Donald Trump will make his first state visit to Israel later this month, the president announced on Thursday. As reports by Israeli officials last week claimed, Trump’s visit will take place just ahead of Jerusalem Day, which kicks off on the evening of May 23rd.

6 Israeli scientists win prestigious grants

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute has announced that it will award six Israeli scientists grants of $650,000 each as part of an initiative aimed at promoting biomedical research.
